Wood Turning Holiday Collection
My journey into woodturning began with my father, a hobbyist furniture maker who admired the beauty of wood and often spoke of the stunning patterns found in turned bowls from burls. Growing up in Houston, I never imagined working with wood, but as a young adult, my parents moved to the Ozarks. During college breaks, I helped build their home and cut firewood, developing a deep appreciation for the land’s peace and history. Now, watching my daughter climb trees on the farm the same way I once did, I feel inspired to connect with the fallen trees by creating something meaningful.
After a career teaching digital arts, I’ve found joy in creating with my hands again—crafting art from nature offers a welcome break from the glare of screens. These ornaments, made from fallen trees on our farm, are simple, imperfect, and filled with character. Each piece reflects my growth as a woodturner and my dream of creating one-of-a-kind art.
To celebrate this journey, I’m offering an “Imperfect” Sale: 50% off all ornaments and free shipping with three or more purchases. Your support helps me grow as a creator and bring the peace of the Ozarks into your home for the holidays, reminding you to take a break from the screen and get outdoors or learn something new.
